The original Ferrari paired the 458 with an F136 V8 engine putting off 562hp. It’s a direct fuel injection. Only available with the dual-clutch 7-speed Getrag gearbox, there is no manual option.
The suspension is a double-wishbone multi-link coupled with ABS and standard Carbon Ceramic brakes. Drivers rated the handling very high.
Not shockingly for something with this much horsepower, fuel economy is not the 458’s forte. It gets an estimated 15MPG combined.

Built as a solo project, the 458 Special MM was built for a British customer. Details of its specs have not been confirmed. It has been rumored to have cost over $3,000,000 USD.
